Q. What's reasons do Sisterlocks

wearers give for transitioning

to Knotted Locs?

A. Travel, tightness, over

retightenings, bad scalp

hygiene.

Q.

ree

You might have the strand type that moves extra curly, more rebellious than the average head of small size locs Locs. Therefore settling into being locked can take a long terms and whole though can be closed with excessive effort front & edges can take longer. The problem will tight pulling to close holes is follicle uprooting, leading to thinning and ultimately bald patches.

ree

Closing your holes is detailed meticulous work. As an ex Certified Sisterlocks Consultant the pressure to finish retight sessions quickly means holes are not prioritised. They 100% should be, but it's the nature of Sisterlocks Consultants' work.

A lot more pulling and tugging happens with strands that move to help hold interlocking patterns in place, tightly done. I became uncomfortable with the stress on the hair to achieve Sisterlocks finish. It was not sustainable.

This is why Knotted Locs exists, all holes are closed effectively right at the beginning of knotting.

I even teach you how to cope with future wholes.

MY

THOUGHTS

About Fixed Partings

&

My Work

I do not like any form of permanent lines because it is unnatural. I do not believe in placing lines permanently along scalp just because you are wearing Locs when you initially had hair growing along those natural lines. Fixed permanent lines is hair loss. Even the one line.

Centre Partings

No permanent parting especially in the middle. This is where hair loss discreetly begins. I've observed how partings gradually widens, exposing more scalp. It's one of the worse practices with Sisterlocks & Microlocs. I refuse to contribute to any form of hair loss in the guise of any fixed parting.

With my practice, it either you commit to the organic nature of how you hair wants to grow or you don't.
