Knotted Locs emphasis is to help you embrace and celebrate your African textured hair with small-sized locs, offering a practical, low-maintenance, and sustainable approach to hair care.

Melissa Blake is passion about Freedom of choice when you with Small Size Locs. 'Choose your hair before you choose a Sisterlocks or Microlocs style (in fixed grids) that compromises your follicles.'

Put Your Follicles 1st ALWAYS.

As the Creator of Knotted Locs, I bring over 13 years+ of expertise in African hair locking practice. My journey began as a Certified Sisterlocks Consultant and as someone who personally started with Sisterlocks. After living with Sisterlocks for 4 years, I experienced hair loss firsthand and encountered countless stories of similar and extreme struggles of traumatic premature balding from men and women. Witnessing these ongoing challenges inspired me to create a sustainable solution that priorities hair health and longevity to give each loc wearer peace of mind.

KnottedLocs has been created for those with busy lives. For you who want to achieve the most abundant, fullest & the healthiest Small or Medium Size Locs with minimum fuss and maximum locs fullness.

To ensure each head of locs sustains it's maximum fullness, water is a necessary part of your locs care regime. Water usually can cause unravelling, this is eliminated with my personalised KnottedLocs technique.

KnottedLocs helps speeds up the locking process enabling frequent interaction with water.

I have created a technique which enables you to shampoo your locs weekly, keep your locks oiled and well hydrated daily, whilst reducing your re-locking sessions to 4 times a year, summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring.

I qualify to create the solution for wearing Small Size Locs in the smartest & healthiest way possible because apart from my 12yrs+ experience, the fact that I started my locs journey with Sisterlocks and I have been wearing Small Size Locs for near 20 years and African Hair is in my family.

I realised by early 2018, I had become traumatised by the images of balding Sisterlocks heads being privately messaged too frequently, asking me for help.

I felt very emotionally driven, it was time for a change, a different small size locs locking method, which gives us more than neat, fixed grid lines & thinning locs but a lot more freedom of choice and self expression when wearing Small Size Locs and we wanted our strands to remain attached to our heads permanently.

I wanted a sustainable way for the next generation to wear their individual Small Size Locs celebrating their freedom of choice and the diversity we nuture within our community, without compromising the vitality of each strand and the loc they choose to wrap themselves around whilst ensuring no pain & no risk of damaging follicles.

I wanted better hygiene.

Improved maximum hydration.

+

The retention of locs fullness.

I wanted a fresher, more enjoyable and up to date experience of wearing Small Size Locs.

My personalised #KnottedLocs technique Saves Follicles,

Saves Time and is

Changing Lives.

I am the solution for eradicating Sisterlocks Scalp Trauma & Freedom of choice within the Small Size Locs Market.

It's very special, learning how to take care of your Sisterlocks / Microlocs in the comfort of your own home with no one watching. Just you & me whilst you learn from each knotting experience. Mistakes are the best lessons.

Web Diary of Melissa Blake CREATOR of Knotted Locs .

Thin fine strands chat, keep wetting your locs from Scalp to tip of loc for strength.

Tatenda (2yrs) - ExSisterlocks. 5 months growth. 4hrs knotting. No more henna for colour, becoming more accepting of her grays).

Lynette (11yrs) - Traditional Locs. 5 months growth. Natural stressed and vulnerable edges. No change. Strands still strong. Knots thicken and when growth comes through, strands look thin, because my knotting process doubles, triples up the delicate, Thin Strands. Touch gently wet and they will thrive.

No More colour chat
